The City of Raymond welcomes you to our website designed to help residents and visitors find information about our town. Raymond is a great place to live and work. We have an elementary school, two churches, two parks, 324 homes, and several businesses.
We are located just one mile north of Highway 20/Interstate 380 and 7 miles east of Waterloo. The 2020 census was 759.
The City utilizes the Independence Bulletin Journal as it's official publication for all city announcements. Additionally, meeting notices are posted at City Hall and the Post Office at 111 Commercial Street, Raymond, Thirsty Bohemian at 208 S 3rd Street, Raymond, and this website.
Public Notices
The City is accepting sealed bids for the John Deere X540 Mower. Sealed bids must be dropped off at Raymond City Hall by August 31, 2026 5pm. Bids must include bidders name, address, phone number, and a check. Bids will be opened on Tuesday, September 8th at 6pm at Raymond City Hall during the regular council meeting.
